Instant Pots were made to make the perfect Poached Egg. You will never make them on the stove top again!
Poached Eggs
To cook a perfect poached egg on a stove top is an art form. To cook a perfect poached egg in an Instant Pot is a breeze.
Equipment
- Instant Pot
- Silicone Eggs Cups (Or Glass baking dishes)
Ingredients
- 4 Large Eggs
- 1 Cup Cold Water
Instructions
- Place the trivet in the bottom of the Instant Pot liner and pour in 1 cup of water.
- Spray each silicone cup with Pam cooking spray or rub with ghee.
- Crack each egg and pour it into the prepared cup.
- Very carefully place the silicone cups into the Instant Pot.
- Place the lid on the Instant Pot, twist to lock in place, and turn the knob to the Sealing position.
- Push the "Steam" button and adjust the time based on your desired yolk consistency (See picture below. 2 minutes Very Runny, 3 Minutes Runny, 4 Minutes almost no run, and 5 Minutes No run)
- When the timer beeps, carefully release the pressure and remove the lid.
- Very carefully remove the silicone cups (Or glass baking dishes) from the liner.
- You may need to use a large spoon to break the seal between the egg and the cup.

Plating
I like putting my poached eggs on some freshly buttered toast! Sprinkle with Pepper and a pinch of dry parsley for decoration!
