The easiest and quickest way to cook yams
Equipment
- Instant Pot
- Trivet or Instant pot Steaming basket
Ingredients
- 4 Medium Yams Peeled or scrubbed clean
- 1 Cup Water
Instructions
- Scrub Yams clean or if you prefer, you can peel them.
- Place Trivet or Steaming basket in the Instant Pot, add 1 cup of water and yams to pot.
- Close the lid and set valve to seal
- Set instant pot to pressure cook on high (manual) for 15 minutes
- Once done, allow instant pot to natural pressure release for 10 minutes
- Quick release the remaining pressure if there is any
- Remove yams to a bowl and mash with butter.
