Equipment

  • Instant Pot
  • Trivet or Instant pot Steaming basket

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Medium Yams Peeled or scrubbed clean
  • 1 Cup Water

Instructions
 

  • Scrub Yams clean or if you prefer, you can peel them.
  • Place Trivet or Steaming basket in the Instant Pot, add 1 cup of water and yams to pot.
  • Close the lid and set valve to seal
  • Set instant pot to pressure cook on high (manual) for 15 minutes
  • Once done, allow instant pot to natural pressure release for 10 minutes
  • Quick release the remaining pressure if there is any
  • Remove yams to a bowl and mash with butter.
