Baked Potatoes
Everyone loves a baked potato but who has over an hour to wait for them to cook in an oven? How to make the classic baked potato in 1/4 of the time compared to baking in a stove. This recipe is a fantastic time saver for a traditional baked potato

- Instant Pot
Ingredients
- 6 Medium Baker potatoes
- 1 Cup Cold water
Potato Toppings (Choose your favorites)
- Sour Cream
- Bacon Bits
- Butter
- Chives
- Shredded Cheese
Instructions
- Place 1 cup cold water in Pressure cooker pan and place trivet in instant pot. Make sure the water is cold or it will affect the cooking time of the potatoes.
- Pierce potatoes 5-6 times with a fork to allow pressure to release while cooking. (Important - this prevents the potatoes from exploding during cooking)
- Add potatoes carefully on trivet (stacking on top of each other if needed). Place lid on instant pot and seal the valve.
- Set to high pressure for 12 minutes.
- Once cook time has elapsed, allow pressure to naturally release for 8-10 minutes, do a quick release. Remove potatoes from Instant Pot and serve up with whatever toppings you like.
Notes
Cooking times:
Small Potatoes: 10 minutes
Medium Potatoes: 12 minutes
Large Potatoes: 20 minutes
NOTE: DO NOT place more than 8 potatoes in the pot or pressure will not build properly and potatoes will not cook through.
